As more and more people are trying carnivore diets, there are numerous examples of positive outcomes around the world, including weight loss, skin conditions, improved digestive issues like gastritis, bloating, gas, and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) symptoms, reversed diabetes and insulin resistance, increased energy levels, reduced inflammation, improved mental clarity, increased muscle mass and many, many more.
If you are ready to take the next step and you want to start a carnivore diet but are not sure how, check out this 12-Step Guide, link below. It's full of useful advice and information to help get you started, to make the transition as smooth as possible.

What Can I Expect?
By eliminating potentially irritating foods such as grains, legumes, seed oils, processed carbohydrates and sugars, many individuals report rapid relief from a huge range of health issues very quickly. Countless people are reporting that the carnivore diet has stabilised their blood sugar levels, reversed insulin resistance and diabetes, healed gastric issues and many, many more health issues. By simple changes in diet, great things can be achieved!
The simplicity of the Carnivore diet is a straightforward approach to eating. Not only are countless people reporting amazing health benefits, but this way of eating makes meal planning and preparation much simpler.
But Will It Work For Me?
Carnivore diets are working for millions of people around the world, people like you who are eating their way to better health. There are many variations of the carnivore diet because we are all different and what works for one person might not work for another. Most people find the right mix of foods for them within the first couple of months, through trial and error.
Should I Exclude Some Meats To Start?
The experts say it’s best to start with a restricted list of foods such as fatty beef, lamb, butter, eggs, salt and water, and to stick to this for 90 days. Many people then reintroduce other carnivore foods one at a time, such as chicken, pork, fish and limited cheese.
By introducing each food separately, it will be easy to spot if your body is telling you it doesn't like something. For example, one month in I realised that the rash I had developed on my neck and face only appeared when I ate bacon or pork, so I excluded them from my diet.
The goal is to eat 70:30 fat to protein, so fatty cuts such as ribeye are the best, with lots of pure salted butter to increase the fat content to the necessary level. The more restricted way you start, the easier it is to work out what foods your body doesn’t like further down the line.
Will I Lose Weight?
For those struggling with weight loss, the “black and white” nature of the Carnivore diet often makes losing weight so much easier and quicker too. Also because you just don’t feel hungry on the diet, you don’t pick. It’s very straightforward and easy.
In The First Few Months
When you start out on the diet, you will probably find you initially have cravings for carbs and sugar, for a while, until you become fat-adapted. Initially, when I started the diet, I felt exhausted, like I was dragging myself around, and I craved carbs. It took a couple of months before I started to feel energised.
Once the body gets used to burning fat for fuel, people normally experience reduced cravings for sugary or processed foods. After four months of following this way of eating, I completely lost interest in the carby foods I used to love, such as bread, cakes, biscuits and chocolate. Those initial cravings completely disappeared!
Electrolytes
It's important to note that electrolytes are crucial for maintaining optimal health on a carnivore diet. I wish I'd monitored my electrolytes better as I did get some leg cramps to start with, but once I increased my intake of high-quality salts, my electrolyte balance was restored and the cramps disappeared.
Fitness & Performance On Carnivore Diets
The high protein content in animal products supports muscle growth and repair, making it an attractive option for individuals focused on fitness and performance, but there’s a huge and growing number of people including doctors and surgeons, who believe that most people could benefit from the diet in a multitude of ways.
Note: It is recommended that you consult a health professional before making big dietary changes

While the Carnivore diet may not be suitable for everyone, its emphasis on nutrient-dense animal foods offers a unique perspective on nutrition and its impact on overall health. As with any dietary change, consulting with a healthcare provider or nutritionist is recommended to ensure individual needs are met and potential risks are addressed.
The carnivore diet has changed my life massively for the better. I hope to show as many people as possible, that it is a serious way to improve health and well-being.
I am a 60 year old mum of four grown children, living in the UK. I had my gallbladder removed in my early 20’s and was lucky in that I didn’t suffer with indigestion or gastric problems for years after the op, however, ten years in, that all changed.
I started getting acid reflux and acid tummy problems which got worse as time passed. I was then prescribed Lansoprazole to relieve my symptoms which helped to start with, however as the years passed, I needed higher doses of Lansoprazole to achieve relief.
Eventually, I needed a different stronger drug so was prescribed Omeprazole.
Years passed. By March of 2024 I was in a lot of pain with my tummy. I asked the doctor for stronger Omeprazole but was advised against it because of the potential side effects.
At this point I was getting really worried. As I couldn’t stop the pain and reflux was getting worse, I was probably heading towards cancer.
The doctor organised an endoscopy which revealed extensive gastritis.
No wonder I was in so much pain!
In a real panic, I started researching for something, anything, I could do to stop the inevitable.
I then stumbled across the Carnivore diet and jumped in with both feet at the end of March 2024.
Within two weeks my symptoms had largely disappeared and within a month they were all gone!
If it hadn’t happened to me, I’d never have believed it was possible, but it happened to me! It is possible!
Now I’m learning as much as I can about this, and it is amazing!
I want to share my story with as many as possible, to help you understand the possibilities and make informed decisions about what you eat, and so take charge of your health.
